Leo Rotman, CFP®
Principal
I have been working in the financial services field since 2001. I received a B.S. in economics and finance from Bentley University and later became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM. I focus on working with families to give them peace of mind about their future and in particular enjoy working with folks who have a special needs loved one. I live in Sudbury, MA with my two boys, Jakob and Noah. Being the single parent of 2 teenage boys definitely has its challenges and often I'm left feeling more like a personal secretary giving constant reminders than a Dad. That said, it's hard to complain. We have had so much more laughter than tears and I still have most of my hair left. When I'm not working or dealing with teenage angst, I find some time to give back to my community by volunteering for different non-profits. I also try to maintain balance and sanity by staying fit, traveling all over the world as often as I can get away, and my most recent hobby- SCUBA diving. Check out my travel blog...

Philosophy
“Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans”
-John Lennon
Ever since I was a small boy, my father always told me how important it is to have specific goals. He said that if I had tangible goals, I can visualize them and achieve them in the future. He loved to tell me Napolean Hill’s famous quote, “what the mind can conceive and believe it can achieve”. I went into the financial planning business because I like to plan and I like to help other people plan so that they too can achieve their goals. I like helping people to visualize what they want for themselves and then doing the analysis to give them options. What I like most is coming up with creative, comprehensive solutions that will help people with their planning.
Several years ago, my cousin died suddenly. He was only 44. That day changed my perspective on life. I went from being hyper focused on the future and planning to realizing that the future doesn’t arrive for everyone. It is important to plan for ourselves and our family but it’s just as important to live life to the fullest today. I am a big believer in balance and realize that putting off something I want to do today isn’t always the right choice.
